Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Dr. Codi Saunders grew an immense interest in orthodontic dental care and has never looked back. While he enjoys every bit of orthodontics, his favorite part is being able to teach every patient about their unique smiles and how he can help them achieve their best oral health. He looks forward to meeting every person who walks through our doors and strives to provide the high-quality treatment you deserve. Read on to learn a little more about him and his background.
Where He Studied Orthodontics
Dr. Saunders first attended Columbia University to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He later studied at New York University College of Dentistry to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) before obtaining his Certificate in Orthodontics from Tufts University. During his time at NYU, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) – Omega Chapter and was selected from the top 12% of his class.
Today, Dr. Saunders remains committed to continuing education and refining his skills so that he can offer the highest quality dental care possible. He is also a proud and active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).
What He Likes to Do Outside the Orthodontic Office
Away from work, Dr. Saunders mostly enjoys spending time with his friends and family. If you don’t find him at the office, he is also likely cooking, working out, and recharging with a good TV show or by reading a book.
