Get to Know Dr. Amir Tiam
Originally from Iran, Dr. Tiam moved to the States and has been working in the world of dentistry for well over a decade. His greatest satisfaction comes from seeing the transformation in his patient’s confidence as their smiles evolve under his care. He has an immense dedication to combining modern orthodontic techniques with a deep understanding of aesthetic principles, making him a well-regarded leader in his field. Where He Studied Orthodontics
Dr. Tiam first graduated from Mashad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS) in 2003 to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). He then practiced for 12 years and was the owner of a private practice. He later graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2020 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He then completed his New York University Orthodontic residency in 2024.
Other than pursuing continuing education to expand his knowledge and skills, Dr. Tiam has attained many professional/educational awards, including:

What He Likes to Do Outside the Orthodontic Office
Whenever he isn’t at the office helping patients straighten their smiles, Dr. Tiam enjoys spending time traveling the world and gaining new perspectives and experiences that enrich both his personal and professional life. He is bilingual, speaking English and Farsi, and he’s also an avid swimmer. Fun fact: he’s a certified lifeguard!
